Российская команда «Сonvers Team» в данный момент принимает участие в третьем этапе серии «Le Mans Endurance» на трассе Сильверстоун (Великобритания). В третьей гонке сезона команда выступает двумя экипажами, впервые заявив для участия в «Le Mans Endurance» автомобиль «Aston Martin DBR9».

Экипаж «Сonvers Team» в составе россиян Алексея Васильева, Николая Фоменко и француза Кристофа Бушу уже дважды в этом сезоне поднимался на подиумы в Спа и Монце, что позволило команде занять второе место в классе GT1 с 16 очками. Опередить «Сonvers Team» в командном зачете за две гонки смогла лишь итальянская команда «BMS Scuderia Italia», выступающая в чемпионате двумя автомобилями «Ferrari 550 Maranello». Учитывая высокие шансы на победу в LMES, российская команда приняла решение выставить на третий этап серии новую машину. Под номером 62 с российским флагом на борту в гонке стартует первый «Aston Martin DBR9» в истории серии LMES. Его поведут в бой Николай Фоменко, англичанин Даррен Тёрнер и бельгиец Марк Гуссенс. За рулем «Ferrari 550» в цветах российского «Конверсбанка» по-прежнему поедут Алексей Васильев и Кристоф Бушу.

Мы очень горды тем, что первый DBR9 в чемпионате будет выступать в цветах российской команды. Я уверен, что в компании с двумя пилотами заводской команды „Aston Martin Racing“ мы сможем рассчитывать на высокий результат в квалификации и гонке».

В гонке в Сильверстоуне примут участие 49 экипажей, 10 из них заявлены в классе GT1. Лишь утром в день гонки на трассе пройдет квалификация, по итогам которой экипажи будут расставлены на стартовой решетке. По традиции, гонка будет продолжаться 6 часов или финиширует, как только лидер пройдет отметку в 1000 километров.
